This race of chicken is called the Barnevelder.

The small ones are real and the big one is a statue. You’ll find dozens of similar chicken statues all over the town. I think it’s for the tourists are something. Or just for fun.
The town keeps this group of chickens right in the center of the town next to the railway station.

EDIT: I took this photo from the top floor of our office. I took it with my new phone and sent it from that phone directly to Tumblr by email to test whether that would work. Apparently, it worked.

The landlord took to selling bouncy castles and similar inflatable structures. He turned the parking space into a showroom - which is okay. But then he removed the front garden to turn it into parking space, which made me sad. Fortunately, the Elm tree is still standing.

(The sun shone low, so I had to block it with my hand to prevent it from shining into my lens. Works better than a lens cap hood).
