Brass band

As I was riding to the store to buy some wood glue and other necessities for the construction of a rat-proof chicken-feeder, I heard music. It was the local brass band “De Harmonie”, that was playing outdoors on the first warm half-sunny day in over a week. They were sitting in what we call the “muziektent”, a sort of roof on poles in a small park.

I decided to share this happy sound with the world by dialing Tumblr on my cell phone to upload this audio post directly from my phone.   

My poor htc phone. All his life he’s been told to cut off every sound that is not speech. He is very good at recognizing speech and reducing band width. But he’s not very good and handling brass bands. Anyway. You get the general idea, I suppose. Believe me, they played very nice.

Last week, I bought a new CD at the HEMA. I phoned Tumblr to let you hear some.
